Trinity Sunday

trinitysunday.jpgDuring the season of Easter, we celebrate some of the most important events and beliefs within the Catholic tradition.  This week we celebrate the central doctrine of faith the Trinity, that is the belief that there are three ‘persons’ in the one God:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  In Sunday’s Gospel Jesus instructs the disciples to baptise ‘in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’ According to legend, St Patrick used the shamrock in his preaching to help explain the Trinity.
